2025 TILFORD ACADEMY
ACADEMY INFORMATION
The academy is a 38 week program designed for players who love the game, train to develop and learn and want to work hard. The program will run on a 9 week curriculum cycling 4 times, with that being sent to all parents and players, this keeps you up to date with what your child is doing in training and displays the structure of the program.
The curriculum focuses on 5 core skills:
Dribbling
Shooting
Structure
Work rate
Possession
All sessions will have game based elements and be overseen by qualified coaches. The Cups schedule will be sent out to the parents to aid preparations. e their passion for the game with the world. Since then, we've grown into a community of fans from all over the world who come together to share their love for the beautiful game.
COACHES
The program will be run by Nick Taylor B licence holder, owner of Showtime Soccer School and has spent 14 years in junior football including running the Brisbane Roar SAP program. Nick will be accompanied by NPL Zebras head Coach Mark Astley who also holds a B licence and has a wealth of knowledge (Not many NPL head coaches working in the Junior system currently :)
ELIGIBILITY
Players from all school teams are welcome to join the academy and still play for school teams. We understand the importance of staying with friends in these age groups. Players of course are welcome to play for Zebras and info registration will be sent out closer to the season. We are hoping the academy groups can play together in the Cups, i.e. Launceston, Tasmania, Devonport and Hobart Cups. It will give the group something to work towards and also see what we have been working on out in the park. Unfortunately players registered with club teams won't be eligible to join academy, for obvious reasons these teams compete on the weekends, clubs can get grumpy if they see players representing other clubs etc Of course if you are currently at a club but want to do the academy you can join up with Zebras and you'll be good to go.
